Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
Anyone know of a good source for MEE flash cards (specifically trusts, wills, corps, secured transactions, familiy law)? I got the Critical Pass for MBE and they're great. But idk about MEE. The Law in a Flash cards are like 30-35 bucks PER SUBJECT. That's robbery (taking away of personal property from the person of another by use of force or intimidation with the intent to deprive the person of the property permanently). Fuck me.

could also be it's the same subjects being tested, and these people already did well in these subjects on tests.Kage3212 wrote:Law School Grades best indicator --> Law school grades indicate an individual's ability to effectively accomplish "information prioritization --> Seems to be saying if you know what to look for in these MBE questions and can separate the misc. information from that, you win. Tiago, I have similar friends but mine are more in the anti-studying boat (ie., they try to eat the book)

Mixed Set 3 -- 32/50. 25 mins left over.
On one hand, I think I need to just slow down, on the other, I find that I also freak out on qs when I take a long time, almost like the proportion of time is negatively correlated with accuracy after a certain point.

Did any of you take the 200 Qs without having really studied a couple topics? I had just studied evidence prior to taking it and got like 1/3 of the Evidence Qs wrong. Definitely took a hit overall because of that.

Don't let that get you down. We have 3 weeks. That's plenty of time to improve. We just have to pass this shit, not blow it out of the water.jamescastle wrote:if anyone wants to feel better about themselves i got a 98/200 on the mbe today...

Yeah I definitely took a hit on property and criminal law, which I haven't studied in weeks. But my worst score was contracts, and I re-read my 30 page outline the night before.Blue Ivy wrote:Did any of you take the 200 Qs without having really studied a couple topics? Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
When I went through the review (we took the midterm two-ish weeks ago) I remember seeing a lot of silly mistakes and also a handful of questions on topics that I simply had not learned yet. Wouldn't be surprised if you guys have similar experiences, particularly with some of the nuanced questions.
Oh, BarBri.

Sorry man.jamescastle wrote:if anyone wants to feel better about themselves i got a 98/200 on the mbe today...
There's still plenty of time to catch up. I'm just freaking out over my score because I was hoping to devote the next three weeks to the state topics, which I have shamelessly neglected.
I've written like 6 essays. I have my own self-made outlines for each, but I have not internalized any of it.

Same here on Contracts. I had started to feel better about it after struggling with some problem sets earlier, but not today.3|ink wrote:Yeah I definitely took a hit on property and criminal law, which I haven't studied in weeks. FYI -- Watching Guzman's Evidence, and loving the clarity. My plan is to take either 1 or 2 MBE videos a day for review, space it out a little to internalize.

Also figured I'd help calm a lot of people's nerves - 95/200. Any hope or time to pack it in?

I got a little nostalgic yesterday when I broke out my favorite #2 pencil for the first time since the LSAT. I'd take that test over this any day of the week.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
Nah it's not time to pack it in. It's time to commit yourself and do the necessary work.
I know people who got low 90's on simulated MBE and got 135+ on real MBE. I know someone who got a 140 after getting a 73. I also know someone who had a 38 (LOL) on the simulated and passed the Bar.
I suggest critical pass to people struggling. Just make sure you commit to studying a topic or two a day, really understanding and memorizing, and then doing practice MBE questions on that topic. Since it is a little late in the game, I suggest also doing a NY subject at night as well. If you stick to this and don't half ass it, you'll be fine.

For some perspective, my understanding is that over half is acceptable on the simulated, so you're not necessarily in hot water. Hunker down and figure out why you missed the ones you missed and get back to it. Can't stop won't stop.3LOL717 wrote:Also figured I'd help calm a lot of people's nerves - 95/200. How... is that even possible? You should be able to score higher than that bybstefans1 wrote: I also know someone who had a 38 (LOL) on the simulated and passed the Bar.

I got 140/200. Most of my MBE study has come from critical pass.bstefans1 wrote:Nah it's not time to pack it in. It's time to commit yourself and do the necessary work.

Also, I have started to rely on the short outlines posted on Stanford's website. Someone posted them in another thread a week ago. Each MBE subject is around 6K words and right on point with only the rules.

Thanks for this, really made me feel semi decent. Honestly was probably a little too cocky in thinking the answers would just "come to me" when I was taking the test. Time to start memorizing, thanks for the support!
