Yes. I'm very flexible with my schedule here in June. If I finish the % for the day, but I want to do more, I do. If I'm short on the %, I make it up later.

I also do things outside of Themis. Its sometimes frustrating when Themis thinks I only did 0.2% work on a day when I outlined for 8 hours.

Question on Criminal MPQ #3 question 8. if anyone has an answer, would be much appreciated
[+] Spoiler
The outline lists "trespassory" as an element of larceny, or as the lecture puts it, without the owner's consent:
The property must be taken without the owner’s consent. If the original taking was without consent, yet was not unlawful because there was no intent to steal at the time of the taking, then larceny may be committed at a later time if the intent to steal is later formed. Under the “continuing trespass” rule, the original trespass is deemed to be “continuing” in order for the criminal act to coincide with the criminal intent. The defendant’s original taking must have been wrongful (e.g., a taking based on knowledge that the property belonged to another, such as a taking with the intent to borrow and return the property).
How is that element satisfied here?

That's unreal. :x
I have the same thing. Today was just 2 essays and 2 "review x subject". tomorrow is 5 essays, 8 videos, review 2 subjects.

Here's a question for everyone. I'm making my flashcards outside of my scheduled Themis time because I like to summarize when the information is fresh. When Themis only gives you ~4 hours of work in a day, do you do more?
I must not be working efficiently because I don't think I've ever had only 4 hours of work to do. Partly the practice tests take me longer because I'm adding info from the sample answers into my flash cards. I'm also not following guided very closely now, I feel like I need to watch more lectures and then I'll have the last couple weeks to really study and do more of the practice tests.

I feel like I need more MBE prep (fuck these Themis question, my confidence is a noodle), and I can't justify the $350 for Adaptibar. With ~30 left, that comes out to about $12 a day, and there's no way I'd finish 1700 questions.

So, now I'm looking at S&T. $70 is more manageable.

Any users? Does it seem to help?
YES! I'm using it and it helped me spot issues much easier than what I was doing before and I'm starting to see the patterns mentioned in the book. It's worth the $80.

Not sure if someone asked this before, but does anyone think it's worth it to go spend the next week working on creating outlines and watching lectures? I will continue to do about 30 MBE Qs and one essay a day but I don't want July to roll in and I'm still watching lectures. I want to spend July practicing not watching.

You should be done all lectures by 7/01. My last lecture is scheduled on that day

I figured as much. I'm gonna put the work in. Up until this point, I've been sleeping 8 hours a night and studying for about 10-12 hours. I'll ramp it up to 16-18 and sleep after the bar exam is over. Cause in my head, I've already conquered and passed this beast. :)

I'm. So. Tired. Watching Civ Pro at 2.25x speed thanks to a Firefox extension plug-in thingy. Involuntarily reciting the law put me to sleep last night.

Not to mention, my allergies are out to get me everyday for the past 7 days. I think I'm becoming allergic to my home. Or outside. Not sure which one is the dominant factor here (shameless/shameful K reference here).

What I do know is that I went outside this weekend and I put on regular human clothes and actually combed my hair. And I needed a 3 hour nap afterwards. Ain't life grand?!

Was there a consensus that session 3 was any harder? I'm guessing it is more likely because of my switch to test mode and not being able to review my answers between each question. Discouraging nonetheless.

Strange, I did the first two sets on Interactive and bombed them, but did the third on Test Mode and scored higher.

Safe to say: this shit sucks.

I'm on it Philly...tired, but on it. I've taken B12 and MCT Oil to give me a little boost of energy. I'd rather eat chips straight out of the bag while watching the 6 episodes of Law & Order I haven't been able to watch. Even my choice of shows are law related....I just can't get away from it!

Is anyone else kinda putting off MPT stuff? I know I should probably do them for practice, but I'm so much more concerned about knowing the substantive law. I might do them as scheduled but just outline them?

I have a graded MPT on Friday, so I'll probably do that. Otherwise, I just kinda read over the materials, outline my response, and compare it to the model. It's worth only 10% in IL, so difficult to justify a substantial amount of time practicing for it.

Looks like it 20% for me, so yeah, not gonna go over the top with it. Didn't realize the MBE was 50% though. Definitely gonna invest in some extra prep materials.

For those are ahead of schedule, how early are you aiming to finish, and how do you plan on spending the additional time? Just drilling extra MBE PQs and flashcards/outline?

I'm doing a mixed set before I attempt the lectures. They're probably 10 to 20 like usual. :(

Fingers crossed they aren't like property or contracts, which averaged more like 18 to 22 :(

How do you fill in the blanks that fast?? If you want a laugh, put it on .5 speed for a minute. It's like you hit the prof with a tranquilizer dart.

Doing corporation lectures today. Got an A in this class in law school, studied it for the VA Bar...don't remember a single thing she's saying.

Is anyone else taking a supplemental bar prep course through their law school? My school offers one taught by a professor, and I signed up for it because the bar passage rate is extremely high for students who use a commercial provider and also take this professor's course. However, I'm having a hard time meeting the demands of both Themis and this supplemental course. (I know, that's what I get for signing up for two courses.) This other course isn't nearly as demanding as Themis, but we are assigned essays to turn in (no strict deadline) and have in-person classes a couple of times a week.

I feel obligated to do as much as I can for this other course both because I paid for it and because it's supposed to be helpful, but I have so much to get through and it's quite overwhelming. Just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation.

lollawschool

Everyone throughout LS said that taking Fed Income Tax (FIT) was crucial for passing the bar. Seriously, like every single student/professor mentioned how important it was and how if you never took FIT, it would ambush you on the bar and make studying hell. So, I took FIT in LS and thought it wasn't bad at all. (I have a background in math fwiw).

Now, I just blew through the FIT materials in one morning session of like 3 hours and we barely even scratch the surface of tax lol. It's just basic deductions and expenses for the most part. So much for all the hype about how hard FIT was and how you couldn't pass the bar w/o it since it's like 1 question and shouldn't be anything more than a basic application of a few rules.
