I'm thinking it may be Thursday night myself.

I feel sick to my stomach. I remember getting my results last time, and I was shaking all over when I got that email. Complete devastation that I didn't pass. I don't think I'll be able to open that email right away this time around.

Yea, I mean, the day number should be the same as the day of the week in previously years, right? Assuming exam was administered on same day of the week.

My heart breaks when I hear of people bombing the exam. Idk why but when someone misses it by just a few points I am confident they will get it the next time, but its hard to hear people missing by many points knowing how hard they worked. I just get sick thinking about it.

Well I don't know you but I'm proud and impressed you've stuck it out. I really really really hope you pass!

I've resigned to complacency, and my best friend didn't pass in a different state so I've seen that devastation and will likely experience it myself in *possibly* a few short hours.

I agree. One of my close friends failed VA by 10 points. I felt so bad. He is so smart and I know he studied really really hard and gave it his all. Im now extra
Nervous and anxious after he told me he failed cuz he is so smart. Smarter than me and than most but he didn't make the cut off.

I was just having this conversation. If I fail, I hope its only by a few points. My main problem is my confidence, and if I totally bombed the bar, then my confidence is pretty much shot after knowing how hard I worked this summer. That's a big hurdle for me to get over. Fingers crossed. So not sleeping tonight.

On the flip side, I had friends in IL leave an essay BLANK and still pass. And, all of them who passed (which is most) equally felt that the essays and MBE were very difficult.

Have faith! Odds are you passed.

I really think some people are just not good test takers. Everything rides on this one exam on that ONE day (or two). It's a lot about performance. I don't think whether you pass or not is necessarily always a question of intelligence.

I think we can all agree that Virginia is the worst:
The Board is aware that many law firms and other professional offices have "dress down" policies of varying descriptions. There is no "dress down" or "casual dress" policy at the Virginia Bar Exam.

Applicants who come to the Virginia Bar Exam are expected to dress in proper attire. For men, proper attire is coat and tie. For women, proper attire is traditional business attire.

Recognizing the high caliber of professionalism that has traditionally characterized the bar, the Board is confident that no further discussion of this topic will be necessary.

does anyone know what happens if people don't follow the dress policy? are you allowed to take off your suit jacket during the exam?? ugh, the worst.

I'll wait for them to go UBE then transfer the score if I ever get a job down there.

Hello
I am a foreign student,( already a french lawyer) and I took the NY BAR as a LL.M student. I have been reading your messages and It has been really helpful. I really hope the results come today or tomorrow. Here, for the Paris Bar Exam, they told us the day of the results, I think it is a torture not to know anything about the release date. I am also worried since I did not receive any survey.
Anyway good luck to everybody and hope to celebrate with you tomorrow. :D

I have a vague memory of reading that if you haven't sat the MPRE yet then your name won't be posted on the online list for BOLE, but you will still get your results in an email. Has anyone heard of this or can confirm? I may be way off (hoping I am) but just trying to minimize any heart attacks for not seeing my name on the website.

I believe the list is of those who are certified for admission, so you are correct.

The bar says, "A complete list of the candidates who passed the February 2016 bar examination will be available to the public on the Board's website at http://www.nybarexam.org on Wednesday, April 27, 2016." Notwithstanding them writing "Thursdayy," I doubt that they would be so sloppy as to say "passed" but mean "certified."

Why aren't we all at a bar waiting to see if they're released tonight?
