Also, anyone care to share their most recent contracts graded essay if you are taking the bar in Ohio?

People here seem to disagree, but I personally really liked the lecturer. It's a dreadfully boring subject and he made me chuckle so it coulda been worse. The biggest problem is that (at least in my case) my class didn't cover half of the material so it made the latter half of the lectures a pain

I’m just under 20% and hoping to work ahead a little more in the next week. It has been hard adjusting to a routine with working part time.

I feel like I just detest doing the practice essays. Dreading getting that back in the next few days!

Same! He made it at least semi engaging. I appreciated it, although I felt like the contracts guy was clearer. Yeah my property class did not cover mortgages and my prof (literally) wrote the book. How did we not cover that in 1L property? Should have taken real estate transactions! I feel good about everything except mortgages/foreclosure.

What did everyone average on these contracts PQs? Anyone else not score way above goal? I did well in contracts class and enjoyed the Themis lecture but some of these questions are tripping me up.

I scored in the 50's on my first set of contracts PQs but after I bought the adaptibar flash cards and did like 80 or so I saw an immediate uptick into the high 60s. I don't think I had the base knowledge from just the lectures and skimming the outlines

Are you familiar with the difference between Adaptibar flash cards and Critical Pass? Not familiar with Adaptibar

I averaged low 60's, with an upward trend.

I have the critical pass cards but i could't figure out how to use them as flashcards. They had too much info on each one for me read the question, say my answer and then flip and check if I was right or not. They aren't a bad cheatsheet/attack outline though

Agreee with above poster. I just didn't get the appeal of critical FC's. Didn't do anything for me.

Yeah that's been my experience with them, kinda frustrating. Is Adaptibar a better experience in your opinion?

Anyone else get a 2/6 on the contracts essay even though you stated the law correctly and reached the correct conclusions?

What state is the above poster stating? And yes, I got a 2 on the contracts test. Very much worried.

As an example, here is the adaptibar flashcard I just did

Q- "What is the lien theory of property ownership?"
A- "Jurisdictions following the lien theory of property ownership consider the mortgagor to be the owner and mortgagee to merely hold a security interest in the property"
And then they have a note about needing to understand the difference between title and lien theory.

I do think you could make these on your own using critical pass flashcards, and the act of writing would probably be good for memorization if thats of interest to you.

Is there a way you can print them out? It would be so nice to have physical copies.

You can't even copy and paste so I don't think so. The app is pretty good though, so you can run them on your phone
