yeah. another complaint is that he's pretty bad at following along with the handouts. i.e., his phraseology is sometimes slightly different than the sheet and I find myself pausing to figure out what the answers are to the handoutJon_Snow wrote:it's because he lectures as if he's speaking to a jury. Checking in.... Started on May 22nd and seems to be keeping up pretty well. I definitely don't read the outlines until after the lectures and usually just for clarification on certain things.... specifically... Mortgages. I just don't understand them and I keep effing up the MBE questions. This is going to be a long summer.

Yeah, I'm at 15, so I wouldn't be worried about 20+.

Ugh, the worst. If it makes us feel any better, McElroy did say most people hate it/don't do well on the subject.ernie wrote:Yea property sucks. Was one of my worst classes in law school too.

It's usually people's worst subject- yet mine was actually con law and I was scoring around 60% on property right before the exam- focus on the mortages/landlord tenant/covenants & equitable servitude stuff- you will only get 1 or 2 future interests Qs so don't worry about future interests w/ blackacre and the fee simple stuff if that's confusing you.

As long as you are a decent typer for the exam there's no need to practice- also worth noting you can copy/paste stuff with examsoft on bar too. I remember using this feature to move stuff around on my essay.

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - July 2017
I just did session 5 of the Real Property MBE PQ's..... so bad. I even studied all the mortgages stuff and took my time so I didn't make any reading errors.... still only got 47%. This is getting really frustrating. Property was one of my better subjects and now I just feel like an idiot. Ugggg.... guess its time to make some more flash cards.

Checking in.
Just reached 20%. Started on May 17. The property MBEs are draining. I take my time on them though and have reached above the goal percentage. Are you guys adhering to the time limit?

Got just below goal on last set of practice Qs. Doesn't feel great, but I'm sure that's acceptable at this point.

do the pq sets for property (or any subject for that matter) get harder down the line? for example is pq set 1 easier than pq set 5?

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - July 2017
Wondering this too. I started out okay with the intro PQ, PQ 2 was terrible, PQ 3 and 4 were okay, and PQ 5 was terrible.champloo wrote:do the pq sets for property (or any subject for that matter) get harder down the line? for example is pq set 1 easier than pq set 5?
(By okay I mean barely meeting the target, not exceeding it by any means. Property is the devil)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
