Yeah I'm reviewing MBE and a couple of essay subjects today because my brain needs to be refreshed after cramming procedure the last two days. I'm a bit tired but I'm okay with that because that means I can actually sleep tonight. I never want to go through this whole process again. I feel like my brain is a cup with tiny holes in it.

I've never taken a test in a room so cold as it was today. Brutal. Ear plugs really helped today in Arlington. When I took them out after finishing the MPT it was a chorus of people furiously typing.

It had to be 60-65F in there. It was easily as cold as my hotel room yesterday, which the maids had kindly set at 65 for my arrival.

I liked how our MC just kept talking and talking. She was funny, I liked her.

Doing flash cards now with a one beer libation.

Yeah, she was about as good as I could have hoped for. I feel bad for people writing their exams because they are right by the legion of typers.

I'm waiting on my celebratory beer until Thursday. Just lightly going through flash cards and maybe some essay review later. Not really planning on hitting the books too hard.

First time ever using ear plugs for an exam and so glad I did. That warehouse is packed. I know that the second day will be the hardest since we have to study for Day 3 after a six-hour exam. Hoping to sleep at least a few hours tonight, but lately, I've been relying on long naps in the afternoon over a full night's sleep. :/

Few things:

P/E was pretty much what I expected with the exception of 1-2 questions.

MPT: Like OklahomasOK, I took a look at the problem and decided to do a 35/55 split instead of 45/45. I thought I was able to get the majority of what I wanted onto the paper. We'll see how that turns out though. Like someone else said, another 5-10 minutes could have been pretty nice. I know I heard that 45 minute mark and was like 'I got this' before realizing that the next 30 minutes just..disappeared.

MBE day? I'm aiming for the pack.
Essay day? Here's hoping they don't throw any curve balls.
My friend said the same thing. he was sitting towards the front. in the back it wasn't so bad.

it took forever for the MPT tests to be handed out

Can anyone help me out....?

I couldn't get my computer to connect to the internet when I tried to upload. Over an hour of trying to fix it (while freaking out) and I tried to upload it. The upload "failed" according to Examsoft at 5:30pm. I'm guessing you cannot upload after 430pm. I know that the technology is my responsibility, as they keep reminding us.

I have called Examsoft (line is perpetually busy), tried their webchat, and emailed them. Nothing back. The Board of Law Examiners is closed until the 4th.

Am I out of luck? Do you know if the TBE gives any sort of leeway? Have you heard of this happening before?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me. Like many of you, I have a family riding on this exam. I'm trying not to believe that it would all be lost on something like this. Please. Help.

Have you tried the manual upload via the examsoft website?

Yes, I've tried. The examsoft manual upload site is down. Everything examsoft-related is not working or overloaded.

There's another TLS thread on this (you should see it currently), and it appears there are problems with uploads in other states. I doubt you're alone.

I guess my failure to connect to the internet was a an Examsoft issue, not an internet issue (I'm not technical by any stretch of the imagination). The BLE sent out a text just now saying that there were uploading issues. I'll take that even if I spent the entire day worrying...

There was a huge group from KIPP (http://www.kipp.org) having a meeting on the other end of the Houston Convention Center this morning. Naturally I wandered in to their area before I found the proper room and everyone stared at me wondering why some idiot brought his laptop to the meeting in a plastic bag.

Lady a couple of seats down from me brought a whole 1-gallon plastic bag full of pens and pencils. Literally filled to the top. Now that's some serious anxiety.

Anyone else feel like there were a lot of surprises on today's MBE?

Yep, quite a few where I got to two answers and simply had to guess. I get that they have to go obscure sometimes, but wow.

Ya there was a lot of weird stuff going on. A lot of straightforward stuff too, but overall I felt it was hard.

By question 175 I was pretty sick of it.

I'm back after a 2+ year hiatus on TLS to say that the MBE today was terrible. I felt very confident going in based on all my practice MBEs and I got destroyed. Out of 200, there's about 50 I'm pretty certain I got right, the rest I had to narrow down and go 50/50 or 33/33/33 on. Not a good feeling.

Also, let's put to bed the notion that BarBri MBEs are harder than the real thing. Different, maybe, but I thought the MBE questions today were just as difficult as BarBri's.

Other than that I had a good day

It's a weird thing though. On the topics that BarBri covered, I actually felt like the MBE questions were in fact easier overall. I just felt like the MBE also tested a surprising amount of stuff that BarBri either completely didn't cover or, if BarBri covered the same general topic, didn't cover right on point. So overall I'm not feeling so great about it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
