Or does anyone have the link from the previous year lying around? If not, I'll try to search for it in the threads later.tfer2222 wrote:Should we expect the seat location emails to go out tomorrow?

Re: NY Bar Exam Application
Does anyone know what happens if we can't get one of our legal externship/job bosses to fill out the form? I worked at a PD for a week as a product of a school trip, but I highly doubt anyone will remember me/give a shit about filling out my form.

Re: NY Bar Exam Application
You have to make documented efforts to get the form signed (emails, certified mail, phone calls). If those fail, you write up your own affidavit documenting how you tried and failed through no fault of your own or reflection on your reason for leaving the job.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what happens if we can't get one of our legal externship/job bosses to fill out the form? Re: NY Bar Exam Application
I received the location selection link from someone who took the bar last year. Nothing happens if you try to go to the URL right now, but it might be helpful to have the URL in your back pocket.

So what exactly do we do with our lives in the almost 1-year wait to be sworn in?

does the certificate of attendance need to be mailed by our law school (in law school envelope, etc) or can we have them fill it out and mail it ourselves?

Re: NY Bar Exam Application
I believe it needs to be mailed by them (at least my school mailed it), but just read the instructions and see if it has one of those "mail to X" things on the bottom, which would mean your school would mail it.tfer2222 wrote:does the certificate of attendance need to be mailed by our law school (in law school envelope, etc) or can we have them fill it out and mail it ourselves?

Re: NY Bar Exam Application
Just to confirm. At this point, we need to do the following:
- Install exam software
- Have our law school submit the certificate of attendance
- Complete the handwriting sample (even if typing the exam?)
Am I missing anything?

However, I didn't get a notification that they got my handwriting sample -- anyone else?
Also, should we be expecting a seat location email tomorrow or soon this week?

If I had to guess, I would guess that the seat location emails would go out after the deadline for the certificates of attendance passes.tfer2222 wrote:actually I did end up getting an email notification when they received my cert. of attendance.LawIdiot86 wrote:From my past experience, no.tfer2222 wrote:HETPE3B wrote:Just to confirm. It looks like the link has been e-mailed out. By a stroke of luck, I happened to click the link a few minutes before the e-mail was sent out. NYC was still available, but I chose Buffalo since I don't want to deal with NYC.

just chose buffalo as well. wasn't fast enough to see NYC, but wouldn't have chosen it anyway for the same reasons.Anonymous User wrote:It looks like the link has been e-mailed out. chose buffalo b/c the hotel I booked there is connected to the testing center. hope there are no other lurking compelling reasons I should've chosen elsewhere.

Yeah, just got it. Don't think NY was a choice for me as out of state, but everything else was available when I went to choose (Albany/Buffalo/Saratoga)Anonymous User wrote:It looks like the link has been e-mailed out.
