Where do you find those questions?

I've been in the 60% with occasional the 70% on barbri mixed sets/refresher/simulated, and want to get a more realistic picture of where I might stand.
The NCBE website sells them, but I bought a book that has them all. Also, my school made this video on what to do if you don't know the rule for an essay. I found it helpful, and funny, so I thought I'd share :)

I feel like this is a "Who's on first?" situation, but KRose is referring to this book, which is indeed titled The Multistate Goat - http://www.beagoat.com/store/p2/The_Mul ... tions.html

Do these NCBE exams have the same questions that are on Adaptibar?

Lmao. It's written by a woman who studied for the bar exam on her own, and talks about how she did it. I was going to do that, until my school offered to pay for me to take a course. I see how much confidence they have in me -___- anyway, The reason it's called that is because she talks about how law students are like sheep who all take these bar courses because we're told to, so she says we should be like a "goat" and not follow the crowd. Lmao I thought it was pretty clever actually

i was going to start doing some of OPE-4 in back of Emanuel's and I see that the correct answers and explanations are right there with the questions themselves. Kind of kills the test-taking immersion...

Completed OPE 4 and I have to say that I didn't find it difficult (80%) although I'm surprise I scored 53% average on torts. Let's hope the real MBE is similar to the OPE. Is OPE 5 from 2015?

During one of my finals this semester, I had some guy sitting two seats away from me with an external keyboard and the thing was impossibly distracting. Had to change my seat.

We can't change seats because of people like that during the Bar, right? I'd basically be screwed?
Where did you hear that from? Am I reading too much into "including but not limited to"?
Just read it again, and now I'm not sure. It says you can't have wireless ones but doesn't say anything about wired ones. That's a bit odd.
You were right. Just got this email today from BOLE..

"The following additional items are permitted in the exam room: laptop, wired mouse, wired external keyboard, mouse pad, and power cord."

Am I the only one who thought after seeing essays 4/5 for property that I'd poop my pants if those appeared on the real thing? Especially 5.

Seriously sick of BarBri's question sets.

Property Q4:
[+] Spoiler
Since when is an "implied cross-easement" enough for horizontal privity? The whole point about horizontal privity in the lecture is that it's the likely "sticking point" and only exists when there's a grantor-grantee, landlord-tenant or mortgagor-mortgagee relationship. And now BarBri tells us that basically two neighbors can just agree on something and that equals horizontal privity? Seriously makes me want to light this MPQ book on fire.

I think I had a similar Adaptibar question and thats how I knew the answer. Courts tend to enforce covenants for the maintenance of common driveways

Good to know, thanks! I feel like springing this shit on us this late is pretty lame of them considering this week is just supposed to be reinforcing stuff we already know. Instead, they're just reinforcing how much I really don't know.

Property 6 question 9...
[+] Spoiler
How is the answer C? When the bank modified the loan doesn't that subrogate it so that its priority is now lower than Lender's? And then because bank foreclosed, lender's mortgage remains on the property? I get that bank cannot go after owner anymore after the refinancing of the original agreement with the buyer, but I am confused on the order of priority because I thought when you alter or refinance the original agreement, you lose your priority to other existing claims

probably because the provision for providing further finance was part of the original contract and therefore it's not optional financing which always treated as if it were new financing. i.e. can't take advantage of the bank positions as a senior mortgagee for new debt

FYI incase I was the only one who was under the mistaken belief that the essays were graded 1-5 (since barbri graded them that way) they are in fact graded on a 1-10

The website switched to 1-10 only a few days ago. For the past three months it said UBE was 1-5. So I'm not sure which is true and I haven't found any helpful info elsewhere

I posted in the NY thread and someone said their Themis rep said NY UBE is graded 1-10

Dat property set 6. If Barbri is trying to fully crush my confidence before game day, mission accomplished. I think I learned about 10 new rules iv'e never seen before just from that set. Though admittedly property has been my worst subject from the jump.

After getting half way through that set, I decided to stop doing the 18Q sets. All they're doing at this point is making me second guess every question and not going with my gut. I have a feeling they're going to cause me more harm than good come test day.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
