Re: July 2015 California Bar Exam
How common is it for the CBX to have the same kind of CPT format (i.e. objective memo, persuasive brief, discovery plan, losing argument, etc.) in an administration?
Also, keep in mind some people have not finished their first day. Don't give them any advantage you didn't have!

Same. Apparently, figuring out how to programming a reliable upload function is a bit out of reach for the good folks at softest.florentine wrote:Yep. Just did the manual upload and that worked.Aureusmons wrote:anyone else having trouble uploading to softest?

I wouldn't say 100%, but probably, ya. Guessing PR, CP, and either ConLaw or Evidence for Thursday.Aureusmons wrote:So does this mean CA Civ Pro is off the table for Thursday?

I actually felt like the PT will give me a slight boost--but it was admittedly pretty hard in terms of figuring out the issues and arguments.BuenAbogado wrote:Dat PT tho.robinhoodOO wrote:Day 1 is done!

Thought it was a difficult one. Anyone have any figures on average word count on PT's?robinhoodOO wrote:I actually felt like the PT will give me a slight boost--but it was admittedly pretty hard in terms of figuring out the issues and arguments.BuenAbogado wrote:Dat PT tho.robinhoodOO wrote:Day 1 is done!

I would love to know what a 65 PT looks like. While I answered it, I definitely didn't use all of the facts and stuff that I could've. I found myself repeating myself a lot.

So, to make myself feel good, the concensus is this was a more difficult Pt, right? (Pls say yes.)

Re: July 2015 California Bar Exam
I felt like it was harder than the practice ones. I think I hit the right issues, but I only wrote about 2200 words. Felt solid on the essays tho.florentine wrote:So, to make myself feel good, the concensus is this was a more difficult Pt, right? (Pls say yes.)
Not sure how worried to be, but it's too late anyway.

Yeah, I think so. It was deceivingly easy at first, but all of a sudden it was like, whoa does this go under a or c?florentine wrote:So, to make myself feel good, the concensus is this was a more difficult Pt, right? (Pls say yes.)

Thought that was "word count" and nearly killed self.BrokenMouse wrote:I only took 3 practice PTs prior to this and never finished those on time. Today I finished with 5 minutes to spare. This could mean that I answered the question based on the laws of mars and venus and I will get a big fail on it. I thought it was really difficult, but I say that about every PT.florentine wrote:So, to make myself feel good, the concensus is this was a more difficult Pt, right? (Pls say yes.)
Anyway my character count was somewhere between 11K and 13K.

For Crimpro, I found myself questioning grammar in the question. I didn't know if 4th applied to all or just the convo. Assumed it did but threw in a quick hearsay thing just to cover my ass.

We are one person. I feel the EXACT same way.BrokenMouse wrote:I'm a little concerned on the 3 essays because I thought they were unusually easy. For every subject, they tested on all the popular issues of each subject so I was kind of caught off guard that no obscure issues were present. I finished with about 20 minutes to spare. I don't really have a reference point to judge my performance level but my self-graded essays were ranging in 60-70s consistently and scored only one at 55 at the beginning of bar prep. I think I hit most of the major issues.
I feel so... ambivalent about my performance wtf. I am scared that despite how I felt after the exam, I might have completely fkd up, especially the PT.

I hope and pray my Softest was calculating word count and not character count. Because there's no way mind said anything close to 11,000 for the MPT. I think it was closer to 3000
