MN comes out monday. Seriously stressing right now. Just started a new job, if I fail I am wondering if I should quit to study.

The results from the Iowa bar exam were released today. 72% pass rate. I'm not sure how this stacks up against other February exams, but the pass rate for the July exam is typically in the 90% range, with the exception of the 2014 July exam which was in the low 80% pass rate.
Congrats to all who have passed their exams so far.

Thanks for the updates.

This is a long shot: Any VERMONT Feb. 2015 exam takers out there? If so, any idea when results will be/were mailed? Looks like results were posted online last year on April 14th. Would be grateful for any updates. Losing patience.

That's a little surprising. I didn't expect TN to be so low.

oh my god. I didn't need to know this.

I'm barred here pro hac vice and in court constantly. I have such a fear of finding out I failed right before I stand up on a case and then sobbing on the record and having some sort of breakdown.

I just have no confidence that I passed whatsoever! I passed MD in July, but the MBE this time around felt exceedingly more difficult (scored a 148 in July.) I'm hoping that civ pro lends itself to a very forgiving scale!
148 is pretty high. I doubt that you would drop off so far from a 148. I mean, isn't a 133 automatic admission in DC? Sounds like you will be fine.

I appreciate the well wishes, but a 133 in NY would require VERY high essay scores to pass :/ I really need to do as well as my previous MBE to pass I think.

Last time the mean national scale was 136ish was in February 2010 (136.6) PA Stats say the Mean National Scale is (136.170). In 2/10 the CA the overall pass rate was 37.1%. The scaling formula used that year for essays and MBEs caused the huge drop.

Its a good thing my team is in the Stanley Cup Playoffs as its the only thing besides GoT and Silicon Valley that will take my mind off this.

Average for feb is usually in the high 130s, no? So it actually isn't a HUGE drop off in terms of the average score. But I mean, if overall pass rates are down then that's just a fact. UGH.

Another point of reference: I got a 160 scaled score on the July 2014 exam and a 168 scaled score on the February 2015 exam in a different state; the states are supposed to have comparably difficult bar exams. I studied significantly less for the February exam, and really didn't give much effort to civ pro, although I already had the knowledge base built up from July and felt I had retained most of it.

Just to help those still waiting on scores.

I got a 141 MBE in Florida. I got a 131 raw on my Kaplan final.

The bar exam is either getting harder or less capable people are taking it.

Passage rates this February fell to 64% compared to 73% to February 2014 for Florida.

You lucky son of a gun. Two weeks ago I was still taking the MBE. And it does not feel like it was three weeks ago for me.
Didn't get this email. Bad sign? Or is it just department.

I think I'm having another break down right now lol. I honestly feel like I failed again. I didn't finish one of the mpt's and I know I messed up stuff on essays. And of course, I have no idea how I did on the MBE.

I have a quasi-legal job right now that isn't bad and I enjoy it, but I really want to be an attorney. I really want it...even just for a few years. I think the worst part is feeling like I let myself down and all those around me who provide support. I have this mentor who has expressed interest in me working for his firm and he provided a lot of support after I failed the 1st time. But I think any interest he has in me working for him will be gone if I don't pass this 2nd time. I just really want to be done with this.

Sorry for the self-indulgent rant. I just needed to vent.

I'm basically in the same position as described above. However, I believe a lot of people are/were. If anyone has been in this position and passed, the story of your experience is welcomed

The registration period for sitting for the NY bar closes on April 30. Based on that I believe we will get the results for February at least a few days before April 30, right? Otherwise we (those who fail...) would have to wait a full year before sitting for the bar again...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
