I got a broadcast message today saying 7-9 hours during the week and 11-15 hours on the weekends. Eek.puttycake wrote:Noooo, that's a great way to be a crazy person.j1987 wrote:Are any of you actually spending 11 - 15 hours studying on weekends..?

This inconsistency is really starting to bug me. Are they not giving the same memos to all of their staff?

I haven't received any broadcast messages since 6/17 (CA). They probably send different messages in different states - but I've never heard them recommend 11-15 hours/day of studying. WOW. I probably should be spending that much time though!j1987 wrote:Tanicius wrote:What do you mean? Wait, are you say 11-15 hours each weekend DAYj1987 wrote:Are any of you actually spending 11 - 15 hours studying on weekends..?

I think I must be studying very inefficiently. I'm doing about 7 hours each day of the week and weekend (i.e., 49 hours per week).
How many hours are each of you studying per week?

Is anyone having an issue where if you don't "master" the assessment at the end of the lecture, sometimes you can't retake the assessment. The option to take the assessment just doesn't appear.

Oh! Ok! I better slow down reading... good advice for when I'm reading the MBEs too!WonkyPanda wrote:I believe he's saying 11-15 hours over the weekend (2 days)iLoveFruits&Veggies wrote:

I guess I would be spending that sort of time if I were watching the lectures on 1x speed instead of 2x speed.

Yeah, I have that issue too. It's mildly annoying because a part of me just wants it to be 100% done, but it still marks the video task as done/doesn't assign it again so whatever. I'd ask them to unlock it but I don't think it's worth the effort other than getting an OCD satisfaction of seeing everything 100% mastered.

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - July 2014 Exam
Are you using the mobile app? If not, I think that it's a potential workaround. At least when I have been using it on my ipad, it will let me click on a lecture and choose whether to play, take assessment, or delete. If I've already taken the assessment, it asks whether I want to start over and erase my earlier score, and then I can go through the questions again. This option seems to work regardless of whether I "mastered" the material on the first time through. It syncs with the "my progress" page, so once you master something on the app, it should update your percentage in the web portal. It's sort of a lot of work if you don't already have the app with the videos downloaded, but I'm not sure of any other way to accomplish this through the web portal.jigglypuffdreams wrote:inkincorporate wrote:Is anyone having an issue where if you don't "master" the assessment at the end of the lecture, sometimes you can't retake the assessment. Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - July 2014 Exam
I just click on the arrow on my desktop computer to go back a page and it let's me retake the assessment; it goes back to the first question. You have to remark everything though - so even for the ones you got right, you have to mark another answer and go back and re-mark the correct one. I was obsessed with making sure I got 100% on everything, but now I'm over it as long as I pass it!jigglypuffdreams wrote:inkincorporate wrote:Is anyone having an issue where if you don't "master" the assessment at the end of the lecture, sometimes you can't retake the assessment. I was thinking the same, so 5.5-7.5 hours per day on the weekend. Am I doing that? Err...probably pretty close but on the lower end.WonkyPanda wrote:I believe he's saying 11-15 hours over the weekend (2 days)iLoveFruits&Veggies wrote:

But I don't get the message that was just sent out. I'm NY and I got a message last week saying to be at 35-40% on the 18th. Then the latest message says I should now be at 45-50%. I'm at 37%, and assuming I was on the low end of 35-40% (I was), I'm supposed to have done 10% in 3 days? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Hmm I'm doing 7-9 hrs a day every day, including weekends. I'm also behind though and flashcarding takes me forever and a day.

No. I'm doing about 5 hours total on the weekend. I'm doing about 4-6 hours for each weekday.j1987 wrote:Are any of you actually spending 11 - 15 hours studying on weekends..?
Surprisingly, I'm staying on pace. Unfortunately, I started 2 weeks late so I'm currently way behind. I think I'm going to start going into flex mode more often to get the more important stuff out of the way. Making it to 75% completed should be easy. 100%? No way.

How are you catching up? Going into Flex mode or has Themis increased your daily workload?Gotti wrote:Hmm I'm doing 7-9 hrs a day every day, including weekends. I'm also behind though and flashcarding takes me forever and a day.

Man, that graded MPT... I dare say I've actually learned some shit since 1L. Probably would have taken me several weeks as a 1L to organize and write what I wrote in those 90 minutes.

I'm also a little behind due to making flashcards. Even with being behind, Directed Study hasn't really increased my load. It still gives me some days where only one or two tasks are assigned.Genuine4ps wrote:How are you catching up? Themis has definitely increased my load then. I NEVER have just one or two tasks.

Themis has increased my workload. I'm not really catching up...I'm just staying behind but still on the same pace. I have to study 7-9 hrs a day to flashcard and get everything else done.Genuine4ps wrote:Really? One or two tasks?Lilly76 wrote:I'm also a little behind due to making flashcards.
