You lucky son of a gun. Two weeks ago I was still taking the MBE. And it does not feel like it was three weeks ago for me.

Didn't get this email. Bad sign? Or is it just department.

Fairly sure it's by department. Friend of mine mentioned the email today and I didn't see it. She's going into the 2nd and I'm heading for the 4th.

How do I know what department I am. I took it in Buffallo.

Now that you mention it, I'm not really sure how one could tell. Can't recall if I noted my department when I signed up to take the bar.

Are you an out-of-state taker? I'm a NY native so I just kind of assumed it was the department we planned to practice in. Buffalo is in the 4th department, but I don't know whether that means you're gearing up to be admitted in it or some other department.

Do you think a lot of people wait to start the moral character application until they find out their results?

For some people it can be a lot of work to go through just to then find out you didn't even pass. On the other hand, if you did pass, that was time wasted where your application could have been processed.

I wish I knew when to expect results. I don't want to pay to send them a credit check or my MPRE score if I failed.

Can confirm I am second department.

Don't read into it at all. If this email meant anything about passing status then it would be common knowledge at this point.

I'm already barred pro hac vice, so I don't care about the delay in getting sworn in. To me it is just too depressing to start getting it all together to just later FAIL.

I cannot even handle the waiting. I got an email from IL a few days ago asking us for updated address info and it felt like my heart was going to explode. I don't honestly think I can open the results email when it comes.

Same. I just looked at the date and realized how close it is. They're supposed to mail ours on April 7. My heart is already pounding.

We get some sort of score (not sure if it's a breakdown or just the total score), but I won't get it for another day or two.
