I'm in a UBE state and we either find out at midnight tonight, or 8:00 tomorrow morning...nobody can say for sure.
I really am so scared. Way more nervous than I was before the actual exam.

Holy shit. I'm officially an attorney. Wow this feeling is crazy.
I took Themis. If you can tell from my previous posts, I felt like crap walking out of it. Mostly the MBE felt awful, and I got sick during the afternoon session but powered through it because I had to.
UBE state. Can't disclose more because I will be outed.
I don't have actually MBE scores but will update as soon as I get them.

Only a handful of UBE states have been released, or very recently released to date.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Passed the Oklahoma bar. My state only releases MBE scaled score and a weird "percentage below" number with an explaination of "this number is the percentage of test takers that scored below your scaled score in this jurisdiction". My MBE scaled was 153 and the percentage below number was 83%. Also, Oklahoma's pass rate has dropped dramatically: this year was a 68% pass rate while the last five years have averaged in the low 80s. Anyway, I used Barbri as this is the only commerical review course option for the state. I scored a 119 raw on the Barbri midterm and agree with the "String of D's" statements and the AM session being much more difficult than the PM session. One specific comment I'd like to add is that I felt like the Barbri Civ Pro questions were all over the map as far as what the MBE actually tested on. I know that there haven't been enough exams with Civ Pro on it for Barbri to be able to fully prep students on it, but I still believe it could have been a little better tailored. Congrats to everyone who passed and good luck to those finding out soon!

Congrats to everyone who passed! Does anyone have any idea how barbri mid-term/final compare to kaplan mid-term/final in terms of difficulty? I'm trying to compare my kaplan raw scores to the majority of folks here reporting with barbri scores.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Hi all,
I just took the Wisconsin Bar Exam this past July and got my results last week. Prior to receiving my results I checked in often here so I thought I would create an account and give a post. I passed the exam with a scaled MBE score of 149 and an Essay score of 143. I took Barbri as a prep course and scored 129 on their practice midterm and they said to add 20 points to that score and it turned out exactly correct. I left the first day of the exam after the essays feeling great and thought I nailed the essays. After the MBE I felt like I failed the exam and thought that way right up until the point i received my results. So if you feel that way you likely did better than you thought. Good luck everyone!

Congrats on passing!!! Seems like 20 points are added to both barbri and kaplan midterm (maybe final too) so I guess they're both similar in difficulty. 8 more days till I find out.Ludy wrote:Hi all,

Here's an updated list (15 people reporting and more to come): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
To just reiterate someone else's point: We're seeing 15-20 points on average added onto raw scores from practice tests w/Kaplan and Barbri. For Kaplan, at least, this is exactly what Chris Fromm informed Kaplan takers to anticipate. I imagine this is a good starting point to see where you may fall and this seems like overall good news considering how difficult the MBE was, especially the AM section

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Thanks for confirming. The AM section definitely was difficult. I remember questions w/ crazy nuances I've never heard of, layers of issues that could all lead to different right answers, and answer choices with 3-4 right answers where my right answer picking skill (usually b/w the two) I developed from practicing didn't help much at all. The PM section went more like clam water with occasional stir ups.robinhoodOO wrote:Here's an updated list (15 people reporting and more to come): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

I self-studied using Kaplan materials. 70% avg. from the red book, 126 from mid-term, 128 from additional (I didn't do the final), and 145 raw from Emanuel (same as NCBE). Overall did about 2000 Qs. One more week of waiting for me. I found out today I passed MPRE at least.

That's good news! I'll take itPJP wrote:I found out today I passed MPRE at least.

On that topic, I recall having thought I failed the MPRE too (not sure why). I had a more than solid pass, though. These exams seemed designed to just beat down your confidence when you are constantly whittling it down to 2 potential answers instead of knowing 100% which one it is.
Let's hope this trend of feeling like you failed but passing continues

Yeah, I thought MPRE was pretty difficult too. I thought they were much harder than Barbri practice questions so I thought I'd be lucky to get 85. This is a good pattern.robinhoodOO wrote:That's good news! I'll take itPJP wrote:I found out today I passed MPRE at least.

very happy this thread exists. I did one full length 200 question MBE test once every two weeks leading up to the cbx. the last 3 I got 78%, 78%, and 82% of the 200 questions correct. 2 were barbri (including the one I got 82%) and one was some random company im not even sure I knew their name. Looks like this will get me over the hurdle even if I fail every essay. good. keep postin

The NCBE mock exams I did I was scoring 77, 83, 73, and 80 from memory.
But they don't include Civ Pro which was by far my weakest subject.
I'm hoping I made up enough in the other subjects to get me across the line.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Themis user from Washington state (UBE state) checking in. On the practice exam I scored a 133 raw. I completed 90% of the program and averaged 67% correct on the MBE during bar prep. During the test day I had so many strings of "D" in the morning session that I debated changing answers out of paranoia.
Passed the WA bar. Scored a 160 MBE and a 145 on the Written component.
Good luck to the everyone still waiting.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Checking in for Iowa. Took Barbri. Iowa doesn't release your individual scores unless you failed I'm pretty sure so I'll be giving guesses on this. My Barbri midterm was a disaster. I think only 103 raw. Kinda went balls to the wall on MBE and was around 65% heading into the exam.
Felt like I killed the essays and felt like I bombed the MBE walking out. I suspect I was around a 125-130 scaled on the MBE and did well on the essays since a passing score in Iowa is 264.
Hope that eases some concerns.

UBE state. Did BarBri and got 138/200 on the midterm and around 75/100 on the final. I felt well prepared going into the test but thought I'd been hit by a bus walking out of it. Passed with a 160.

Got my results today. I Used Kaplan and got a 142 on the midterm 158 on the final and 140 on the additional practice test. I thought the Mbe was hard! The morning was harder and I had all the d's too. Passed with a 162.5 on the Mbe.

Iowa bar results are up today. 91% of first-time takers passed compared to 82% last July. For Iowa law, 58 out of 59 for 98% passed.
Letters are being mailed but I'm unsure whether we release scores, so not sure if we will be able to post stats in the next few days.
