Re: February 2015 Bar Results Waiting Room
Well, so far it doesn't look like a horror story.
You're right, smaller samples exhibit higher volatility. If MBE scores were affecting the February test-taking pool, we'd see some notable blips on the radar.
The fact that scores are (so far) consistent with past February scores (2% drop on average seems insignificant) would suggest that...they did a really good job normalizing after the addition of civ pro and crazy prop/k questions.
So... we should expect the same ol' pass rates: 40% for cali and 60% for NY.
Of course, these states also have a significantly smaller number of foreign test takers, and non-first time test takers, so I'm assuming these groups wouldn't be hit disproportionately harder in NY and CA (thus tanking the pass rates in those two states, but not in states like Wisconsin).
Sigh.
If only we could figure out the answer before ever getting that stupid letter....

this thing makes some seriously unwarranted assumptions about what my LSAT and grades indicate

Kentucky Bar Results release Friday....getting more nervous the closer it gets.
I feel like it could go anyway. I felt like the MEE was fair, but the MBE was brutal.

The MBE was not the exam I studied for. It was a total slaughter for me. Results coming Friday.... less than 48 hours.

I made the mistake of reading through the thread about the exam questions and realizing I got most of those wrong, plus missed an area of the law on the essays. I am so nervous for Friday that I could throw up. I've been having nightmares for weeks. This is horrible. :psteele99 wrote:The MBE was not the exam I studied for. It was a total slaughter for me. I avoid those threads. No one knows what the right answers were for sure. Why torture yourself? I could very well have failed, but as a practice, I don't hang around and discuss any exams. Just adds to irrational paranoia. The bar exam provides enough of that all by its lonesome!
