There's a button on the post bar just above the text box (two the left of the scroll bar that says "Normal") that says "Img." Click it, then paste a url in it ending with .png, .gif, .jpg, etc. Usually, you can just upload/go to imgur for it. Or you can take the image and drag it to the url bar until you reach a page that is just the image itself against a white background, assuming you're on mac and use safari (don't know if it's different on anything else).
