Re: UVA 2L taking questions
So OGI starts in a month... do you all already know what firms that you bid on that you have actually been selected for? If so, how did most you of all fair?

Don't hear until 7/29. Bids aren't due until 07/12.D Brooks wrote:So OGI starts in a month... do you all already know what firms that you bid on that you have actually been selected for? If so, how did most you of all fair?

Re: UVA 2L taking questions
Oh, okay. Thanks for the feedback.
One more question (in two parts): Since sections aren't posted until 5pm the Friday before Orientation, we effectively can't get our books for classes until Saturday, right? Also, is the required reading before the first day of class light enough that we'll be able to get through it and understand it while juggling our Orientation schedule?

How hard would it be to pay UVA's sticker? Do they have good loan programs, etc. especially for those who would need it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: UVA 2L taking questions
Their new LRAP program for incoming students (starting with Class of 2013, supposedly optional for current students to switch to as well) promises to cover all IBR payments if you make less than $55K, and prorated amounts up to a $75K cutoff. (I might have those off by $5K or so, but off the top of my head I think that's where the cutoffs are.) Between IBR and the LRAP you'll not have to make any loan payments yourself if you end up not making more than that.Ildeuce wrote:How hard would it be to pay UVA's sticker? If you do, you'll have enough money to make loan payments anyway.

And thank goodness they did.Stringer Bell wrote:The posted deadline last year was 12/15. The extension until March came out of nowhere. There's no guarantee it will happen again next cycle.5ky wrote: I'm not sure I follow what you're asking. You can ED to UVA until March, if that matters.

Those cutoffs are correct.vanwinkle wrote:Their new LRAP program for incoming students (starting with Class of 2013, supposedly optional for current students to switch to as well) promises to cover all IBR payments if you make less than $55K, and prorated amounts up to a $75K cutoff. I doubt it. AutoAdmit has nothing (except fake announcements). They're allegedly supposed to go out before the bidding deadline, so I assume they'll go out tomorrow or Friday.doback wrote:anyone know if Law Review invites have gone out yet?

0L question: How is law review chosen? Application process, or do they simply pluck the top students from a list?D Brooks wrote:40+ people on LR. Seems like a lot!

Question! How difficult is it to get into the clinics? (I apologize in advance if this has already been covered, or there's an obvious answer on the website.)

Re: UVA 2L taking questions
What's the application process like? Is it mostly about grades?YCrevolution wrote:If you just want any clinic (2L or 3L year), it shouldn't be that difficult. The popular/better-known ones have a short application process and there's more people who want to be taking the clinic than there are spots/seats.dominkay wrote:Question!
