Has anyone heard yet from NYU about setting up an interview for the Root-Tilden-Kern scholarship? According to the application, we should hear by March 13. And if you have heard, I'm assuming you got your acceptance letter in the mail first?

I received an email notification yesterday (March 3rd) that I was a finalist.

edit: They tried to call first, but I'm overseas so I didn't want the $2.50/min charge to pick up the phone, so then they emailed me.

Darn it, anyone else? I'm assuming, if they've gotten to the "sending out e-mails about it" phase, that that means, "no e-mail = no interview." Thoughts?

Ahh this is stressing me out, i really want to interview for this. everything has gone my way so far with schools and while it's a total longshot, i did sort of expect to at least get to interview. ego crushed!

i mean, there's a chance they are still making calls. only 2 or 3 people have reported it right?

hey all - frequent lurker, first time poster.

i recently got the call inviting me to interview for a root at NYU. i've done some preliminary research about the process, but i haven't been able to find out how many people get interviews for the 20 scholarships. anyone have any idea?

i think i heard they interview about 50 people. but i'm pouting b/c i haven't gotten an interview and would love one!

i was so anxious that i contacted the NYU admissions who then transferred me to the "public interest" something...

i spoke to a woman and asked about the RTK scholarship interviews. she replied that calls will go out by (or on) March 16. AAAHHH!!!

The 16th?? I had already gotten over the fact that I didn't get anything so far. Now I have to wait until Monday to find out I won't get an interview??

I was actually fortunate enough to be selected as a finalist on Monday. Notification was by phone call. Interviews are scheduled for March 28, the day after the ASD activities. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have been selected as a finalist. Congratulations to everyone who heard back, and if you didn't hear, I am sure there are many other amazing choices waiting for you! And LRAP will be there for all of us I hope!

I am lucky enough to have gotten an interview for rtk as well. One of my coworkers went to NYU *not* on the Root, but interviewed for it. She said that she remembered about 80-100 people interviewing for it four years ago. I have no idea if that's still true.

I know some (all?) AnBryce folks were notified earlier today. I was not, unfortunately, one of them.

I haven't seen anything about RTK. I'm also hoping that because I interviewed for both, both need to reach a decision before I'm notified about either. But that might just be a pipe dream!

Well if you'll recall they said on Saturday that they would start notifying winners today and continue through Wednesday. So just because you haven't heard anything, its not necessarily a negative, but not as good as hearing anything yet either...good luck to all!

ah, is that what they said at the lunch? had to miss it. yes i'm not really panicked, just exhausted by this process and this is my last big piece of missing information (well other than yale but i'm over that)
