What should I do with my year off?

Post by bagelofthedamnd » Thu Jul 14, 2016 11:17 pm

What should I do with my year off? I’m out of school and got a good score on my June LSAT, enough for a T-14. I plan to relax a bit but I also want to work on myself. What are things you wish you’d done before law school? I’ve been wanting to learn a programming language – are there any that would make me a star in BigLaw? I'm planning to pursue corporate or IP law, and have a strong interest in tech.

This is literally what I did (3 weeks in Europe, with 2K in Euros). It was a great experience, and while I think it might be possible to do some things during the gap year to make your first days of class a little less intimidating I don't think those things outweigh the value of travel/relaxation/introspection.
