Selling Back Beneifts In Law Firms

Post by retupmoc12 » Sat May 14, 2016 6:01 pm

As of now, I am not a lawyer. My current company allows employees to sell their benefits back if they have a working spouse who also maintains benefits. Essentially, I live off of my wife's benefits. This is nice because it enables you to collect an extra couple thousand per year. I know many law firms offer benefits. However, has anyone ever heard of firms allowing employees to sell their benefits back if they have a working spouse who also has benefits?

Highly doubt you're gonna find a firm that lets you do this. It cuts into partner profits and firms are opposed to anything that cuts into partner profits.

What kind of benefits are you talking about? I thought stuff like health/vision/dental coverage was "opt-in", rather than being a mandatory deduction from your paycheck?
