Resume Gap?

Post by procell » Fri Feb 19, 2016 3:02 pm

Hi all,

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before.

I will be enrolling at an HYS this year, and was thinking of leaving my job next month (which doesn't pay very well, unfortunately) to take some time off to relax/travel/spend time with my family. Would this 5-6 month gap (ie. March - September) negatively affect me for OCI? I have worked at this job for around 1.5 years.

Thanks!

The question might come up in an interview. Is there any kind of volunteer work you could do for at least 3 months of that time?

I doubt it matters at all. If it came up, there's nothing wrong with saying that you just took a few month off to enjoy life before starting law school.

It means nothing. Take the time off. You won't have that luxury again for a long long time. Unless you graduate with no job, of course.
