If LSAC makes an honest mistake, will they correct it

Post by julieisawesome » Thu Jan 21, 2016 9:32 pm

My absolute gpa counting every transcript grade will be 3.2. In addition, I have taken the LSAT more then once, highest score 179.

Those are some respectable stats, yes, even given the lower gpa. However, I have changed my major multiple times (250 credits), and have 30 or more non punitive withdrawals for a good reason.

On the Interpretive guide to LSAC grading on the LSAC site, it says Ws are non punitive at my school.

My question is - With the 250 credits, I have a lot of transcript grades and have 30 non punitive withdrawals. I keep thinking that because I have more grades or marks then the average person that I am more at risk for them messing up my calculation. So, if they make a mistake where they count a grade wrong, or say count one W as an F (ignoring all the others), if you call them, will they fix it, if it truly was a mistake?

Just do it and then see what happens. It is far too early to be worrying about what ifs.

They have these things called spreadsheets where you just type things in (if you even have to, they can probably just scan), and the computer calculates the rest and uploads things to your account. Your extra 30 credits are nothing compared in the grand scheme of credits/transcripts that LSAC processes...

If you truly believe they made a mistake, call them! They are humans who listen to you and will work to try and correct your problem. Not kidding, they will fix it if they made a mistake

This is a long tim ago, and I almost forgot about it, but LSAC made a few mistakes regarding my LSAC GPA. I called them and they worked it out.
