Devout Member of the Church of TLS
OL here. I have spent hours lurking around TLS forums, and the information here has altered the course of my life. I came to the idea of law late. I was fully infected with the idea that Law School=Good Idea Always. I don't know where that idea originated or how it continues to endure, but it is pervasive. I am very grateful to TLS for mercilessly wringing that nonsense out of my brain. The process was almost comical, looking back on it. I could go on and on about the force it took to make me take an objective look at law schools, my goals, and the potential career options, but I can honestly say that I don't regret, after honest self-evaluation, postponing the decision to attend UM Law with $$$. I only mention that last part because I want to give some perspective to my questions. It's been a couple years since I turned that opportunity down, and I'm studying for the LSAT again. I want one more solid percentile. I think that might make some outstanding opportunities available at a reasonable price. I guess that's the question, though. I'm trying to get a sense of the variety of outcomes available to graduates of T-14 schools. If the gospel of TLS is followed, if you get that good score and you get that $$$ or a reasonable offer from HYS then what? What opportunities, classes, clinics do you get to participate in that are totally worth it? What opportunities become available after graduation?

Thanks. I guess I'm looking for more specificity. I'm sure the range is wide, but what sort of opportunities exist within the PI, for example? What opportunities, within any career path, do you see people trying to realize that are particularly interesting? It would be awesome to have a glimpse into that aspect of law school, from my perspective.
