Purchasing supplements recommended by professor

Post by km24 » Wed Aug 05, 2015 10:51 pm

My Torts professor recommends E&E and my Contracts professor recommends Understanding Contracts by Ferriell. Most people on TLS don't recommend E&E for torts and I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about Ferriell. Should I purchase these since my professors recommended them or should I go with other supplements?

(1) You don't need any supplements. It's fine and good to use them, but don't think of it as a necessary step.

(2) If your professor recommends it, there's a very good chance they used it when putting the course together, and you should take a look.

(3) You can look at more than one supplement for a course

(4) You can generally look at supplements in the library and/or bookstore before buying them, or else exclusively
