Re: UVA Grad Taking Questions Re UVA/Career
I'll swoop in - 2L FWIW.
1. Best restaurant/bar in Charlottesville?
Most UVAlaw students will probably say that Bilt is one of the better bars in Charlottesville, particularly at the beginning of the semester. It has a large outdoor space, and sometimes has a live band. It's pretty chill. Bilt would be followed by the other bars on the corner (Trinity, Virginian, Boylan) which are all in walking distance from each other. Make sure you check out the dowtown mall as well for bars. Cville is a good place for foodies. I love The Local and Blue Light Grill as far as restaurant options go.
2. Most overrated aspect of UVA/Charlottesville?
Ehhhhh, to me probably the night life. It can get redundant.
3. Most helpful thing for your career/grades/education you ever did while at UVA?
2L here about to enter OGI so take this with a grain of salt, but probably really getting to know everyone in the career services office. They were really able to tailor advice to me as an individual rather than strictly numbers on a page or words on a resume.
4. Most helpful person in the career center?
Kevin Donovan wins "Best all around"
