Future C&F issue?

Post by Okie25 » Thu Mar 05, 2015 1:43 pm

All throughout undergrad and two years after I worked with my parents who've got a small business. I put this down on my resume. I was never paid since my parents paid for my undergrad/let me live at there house for free. Will there be any issues here? Would this be considered employment or not? Would I have to explain why I wasn't paid? Thanks for any info

This is employment and not an issue. You almost certainly won't have to explain the situation.

The fact that this makes you concerned about C&F means you've probably never done anything even close to the realm of what causes C&F issues.

That's real employment and shouldn't be a problem, but, at least in California, the moral character application asks for a verifying reference that's not related to you.
