0L interested in working for the SEC. What should I know?

Post by Lightworks » Sun Nov 23, 2014 4:57 pm

I'm sure this topic has been covered many times, but 'SEC' is close to search-proof. I'm mostly curious about how competitive hiring is, what kind of experience can I get to boost my chances, whether any T14 schools are especially strong with placement, what classes would look good, etc.

There is an SEC honors attorney thread that should answer most of this.

That being said most people who get in go to a big firm first. Like all desirable BigGov positions they love federal clerks.

Your best chance at working for the SEC is probably Florida coach.
