Will patterns of Ws affect your chances
I have a 3.2 LSAC gpa and an LSAT above 175..........however, I have been in undergrad 10 years, (have lots of Work Experience), but had some problems and I have excessive Ws (I do have a 2 year trend of no Ws toward the end).
I have a lot of Ws, but since they didnt effect the LSAC gpa, isnt it true that a 3.2/175 (in undergrad 10 years; lots of Ws) will have preferance over say a 2.75/175 (4 years; no Ws)?
Thoughts? anyone have good stats and lots of Ws? hurt your cycle?

Mistaken Genius,
Thanks so much for your reply. That was very helpful to know that you had excellent stats (and some Ws) and the Ws didnt seem to hurt. I wasnt aiming at Top 10 since I think my 3.2 gpa will already nullify that, but was aiming for Georgetown or lower T 14 or T 15-19. I actually have 30 Ws , but 18 of them were due to surgeries that took place in at least 3 semesters, so hopefully that will mitigate some of the damage when I explain what transpired.
Thanks again for the reply. Its nice to know that Ws, arent as detrimental as I thought.

Sorry to ask another question, Mistaken Genius, but did you get accepted to HYS? or T 5? Sorry to ask.

I thought LSAC calculates W's (withdrawal-failing) as F's?
Edit: After some research it seems only a WF counts as a F. So nevermind!

Re: Will patterns of Ws affect your chances
There is a link on the LSAC website, under publications - called Interpretive Guide to grading systems. I believe you can punch in the name of your school and it tells you if the particular grade is Omitted from their calculations (which Ws were at my school). As far as WFs, while I am not exactly sure, I believe that if the school counts the WF as Failure then LSAC will, but if the school doesnt then its omitted? At any rate, you can always check out the Interpretive Guide on their website. It seems many arent aware of that link. I wasnt either until someone told me.
