Making Your Case

Post by #NotACop » Fri Aug 08, 2014 7:44 am

Hey, I'm an 0L starting in two weeks and I picked up Making Your Case by Scalia and Garner. I have no real desire to learn any substantive law prior to the start of school, but I do want to read something because I don't do anything at all while at work and I've reached a record level of boredum. I've only read a few pages so far and it seems like a good read, but it definitely looks geared towards lawyers. My question is, are there any current law students that have read this? And, is it helpful at all for 1L?

Completely useless to you, but no more so than most 1L prep.

That's what I figured, mainly just reading it to piss away time.

There are worse ways to spend your time than reading Scalia. Like his politics or not, the man is a fantastic writer.
