Emanuel books?

What law summaries/outline books have you guys used? I have heard good things about Emanuel books, but some have said they are still too long. Any other books out there that you all find more helpful? Also, if I do not have my schedule or book list yet do I need to wait for that before purchasing these summary books? Or are all these summary books pretty in line with whatever book we are using?
