Re: Chronic Illness & Law School
I wasn't sick during school but I became ill after school. My firm found it was better for me to not work, than to try to work a regular schedule. 40 hours is part time at my job.I think probably you can manage in school, but practice will be much harder. School is much more flexible than work and you can rest as needed, but in work it is more difficult.
I would find out if you are allowed any accommodations on exams and I would take them.
I would also try to understand what jobs you can do and how many hours you can reasonably work. Don't go to law school without a job plan in mind. Law school is too stressful and too expensive to undertake if you are not going to be able to hold a job afterwards. There may be jobs you can work without problems, just figure that out ahead of time.
