Where to live WUSTL?

Post by lawkid12345 » Mon Jun 02, 2014 4:07 pm

Where do most students live when attending WUSTL?

I have read a lot about the Central West End and the LOOP. Are there any streets / areas in these in particular that are better to be near than others?

Thanks!

The Loop is a section of Delmar that crosses from the City into UCity.

The main street in CWE that most of the stuff is clustered around isprobably Euclid.

Anything walking distance from one of those two is probably a good choice.

In the CWE, it's best to be within a few blocks of the Metrolink (train stop) if you plan on using it. That's by the WUSTL med school. Obviously places will be a bit more expensive if they are more convenient to the med school and surrounding hospitals. If you have a car or are willing to walk a bit more, pretty much anything between Kingshighway on the west, I64 on the south, Sarah St on the east, and Washington Ave on the north side is the "happening" part of the CWE. As said above, the best (and most expensive) part is aroud Euclid and Forest Park Pkwy.

As for the Loop, Delmar is the main street. Everything between that street and the school campus are the main highlights of the area. The closer to Wash U campus, the better.
