Regret going to a firm instead of PI/Gov (or vice versa)?

Given that these two paths require different commitments while in school, do you regret your choice to pursue work in a firm (Big Law or otherwise) rather than gunning for PI?

And PI gunners — do you ever think about the firm opportunities you passed up?

I'm especially interested in hearing from those who were on the fence as a 0L.
