I was lucky to be accepted to both Weil NY and Sidley NY to work as a paralegal, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts regarding which one of these might be a better option for litigation. I'm really torn -- Sidley was always my dream (I'm from Chicago originally, although I'd be in the NY Office), but I also really loved the culture and people I met at Weil. I was also wondering if anyone knew anything regarding bonus amounts, the expected amount of overtime worked at each firm, and perhaps what one could expect to make annually each year at both firms (Base + bonus + ot). Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

OP, only law students can post in the legal employment forum, so I'm moving this to Ask a Law Student/Graduate. (I'm assuming that by '14grad you mean college, not law school.)

I'd pick one that pays more. If they're the same, pick the one you get a better feel for. If all is still tied, I guess if you want to end up in Chicago after you end up going to law school, pick Sidley, if not then flip a coin. They're both top 15 law firms and you'll get connections at both.'14grad wrote:Wow - Sorry. Can you tell I'm new here?Ha. Thanks for the help!

Weil is the better firm. IDK how this works for paralegals.
