A question for any Prosecutors out there.
So lately I've been getting a lot of experience in the courtroom as I have been working at my local DA's office. When I'm not in court, I'm assisting the attorneys with orders, doing a little research here and there and I really like the idea of becoming a prosecutor in my hometown to serve my community. I know the pay isn't the greatest but I'd want to do this for more than just money. In my hometown DA's start at around $40k a yr with competitive benefits (amazing health care, pension, life insurance, solid hours that aren't going to keep you at the office too late on a regular basis eventhough it does happen at times, etc) any other pros/cons any prosecutors can think of? Advice on how pursuit working as one after law school? Thanks in advance!

Except (to play the obnoxious mod) don't post in that thread until you're in law school - 0Ls can't post in the legal employment forum. However, it's an excellent thread to read, as are a lot of the other threads in that forum.Tanicius wrote:The con of the job track is that it's hard to get.
