Barely got into T14...any David v. Goliath success stories?
I barely got into a T14 but am feeling pretty incompetent compared to most everyone else. Anyone have any success stories of a low LSAT scorer but still did really well in class?

It doesn't matter how you did. None of your classmates know your LSAT score. It's in the past, so just study and believe in yourself.

Had an LSAT below UCLA/TX's 25th percentile and ended 1L within top 20%

I assume what the OP actually means is that he/she not only barely got in, but he did his/her best on the LSAT and barely got in.
So, if you did not try on the LSAT and barely got in, your story does not relate.

How do you know you "barely" got in? Were you a late admit off the waitlist?

I got into one T14 after applying two years in a row. I'm now an associate at a V5. Just work your ass off and don't give a fuck about what other people are doing.

Yeah definitely happens don't worry about it. I was near the bottom of both percentiles and did well first year. No worries man just keep grinding.

In off waitlist in June at only one T14. Top 3% after first year. Just be confident and do the work.

Your LSAT score will only hamper your 1l year if you let it. The fact that you are worrying about it at this point is not encouraging. You are there, thats all that matters. I agree with above posters....only worry about what you can control. You will be fine if you stop worrying about others and concentrate on the final. LSAT does not equal success or failure in law school. Work, on the other hand, does.
I am a transfer from a TTT school to UT/Vandy/UCLA. I am competing with kids with LSAT scores 10 points higher than mine on average, but it is. The LSAT does not measure writing ability which is huge. Some people are also good at legal analysis even though they did not do well on the LSAT. It happens all the time, I know people at my old school with scores that got them full rides....they were not in the top 10% of the class after 1l. I know transfer students who do well at schools they should have no business doing well at if the LSAT was determinative.

Everyone here is correct. Pay no mind to LSAT score. As one previous poster mentioned, the LSAT does not measure writing ability and it does not measure one's ability to reason through problems with more time allotted to do so than the 35 minutes per section. Much of what the LSAT does accurately measure is processing speed. But that measurement does not perfectly translate to one's ability to do well in law school. Just be persistent and determined to learn and master the material. It may take you a little longer than most of your classmates. I don't know. But just stick with it. Your mastery will come if you stay persistent and determined. Pay no mind to the rest of your classmates. Just do your thing.
And once you get out into law practice, you will find that law school performance matters little in terms of being a great lawyer.

Friend at a T14 had LSAT equal to school's 25th percentile. He was #1 in the class after 1L.
