Thanks for taking questions.
Do you have a job lined up?
What advice do you have for someone at a T30 with just above median grades and in all likelihood going to miss the big law fed clerkship boat? What kind of decent paying jobs did students at nd with those grades land?

Re: Notre Dame recent grad (& others) taking questions
I'm clerking for a district judge starting in a couple of weeks.
I know of a fair number of people at ND who ended up with solid jobs after striking out at OCI and not getting a clerkship, but also of a lot of people who still don't have anything. Some ended up with government jobs, some got small firm jobs or state court clerkships. It's definitely an uphill battle after striking out at OCI, but it is possible to climb out of it. I even know of one of my classmates who got Chicago biglaw as a 3L after striking out at OCI.

Why do you think they struck out at OCI? Was it ND, your grades, the market, etc?

Asking why people struck out at OCI is a nonsense question. You'll find out what I mean once you go through it.

I'm considering Notre Dame. If you were in the top 20% of your class graduating, what are your Biglaw prospects?

Top 20% is questionable, though if you have ties to a secondary market you should be fine in that market with those grades. You'd be right on the fringe as far as being competitive to land NYC/Chicago.
