Keep job and go part time or quit job and go full time Forum

I work in a state legislature where I am surrounded by lobbyist and corporate lawyers. A few have even mentioned for their firms. If I go to law school part time and keep my job, I'll have to go to a low ranked school but it might help my job. There is a top 20 law school in my area that I might be able to get into but if I do that I might lose my connections at my job. Which option is better.

Do you have a family? How many hours a week do you have to work? What other obligations do you have going besides work and law school?

No kids, mortgage, car note or other expenses other than student loans.

Depends on the school's job prospects, really. If you're close enough to somewhere that will get you a job and can keep those connections open, go part-time and borrow less.

keep job and go part time... if you don't like law school/ do bad, the transition out is much easier
