Ways that You Saved Money in Law School?

Post by ksllaw » Sun Aug 19, 2012 4:00 pm

If anyone wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to learn of the various ways you saved money in law school (without hurting your productivity and quality of work hopefully).

E.g., Did you work part-time? ...Did you share books with others? ...Were there free "things" that you could obtain to save yourself the cost of having to buy it yourself?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and answers everyone. 8)

If you're taking out loans, if at all possible, pay down the interest periodically. Although this is increasing spending in the short run, long term, it'll significantly reduce your debt from law school.

If you can afford to pay down interest just don't take out as much in loans.

It's that whole fat-cutting (i.e. getting rid of expendable luxuries), coupon-clipping, Gap and flea market shopping, motorcycle or bus riding, carpooling, girlfriend/boyfriend dumping (if they are costing you), loan-minimizing thing. It works for everyone.
