hello

1. if we accept a schools financial aid package, is there any obligation to attend?

2. does there tend to be a deadline to accept them?

thank you

Depends on the school, check your school's requirements. They should have informed you in the email/letter about the scholarship.

ETA: All schools have an acceptance deadline, regardless of whether you have a scholarship or not. Some schools have an EARLIER deadline for people who received scholarships (for example, NU's normal deadline is April 30th, but their scholarship deadline is today). You should really check your email/letter and call their office to make sure you haven't missed it already.
