Not being a dick, genuinely curious.
The median here is about a 2.5 or so from last year's fall class rankings. Any GPA below a 2.0 will lead to dismissal after the spring semester.
If he is looking for a scholarship next year, the rule here is students above a 3.0 after their first year can qualify for a $20,000 a year scholarship.
As for 1L summer internships, i cannot say whether it will hurt him. OCI bidding just ended and hopefully we hear back soon.
