Question for current SMU students re: employment stats
I was unable to find any employment statistics beyond the class of 2006. Does anyone know where I can find stats for the class of 2008 or 2009? (i.e. salary, geographic distribution, etc.). I figured maybe current students have access to info not posted on the publicly accessible webbsite. I am interested bc I will be applying for transfer this week. Thanks.

I'm not a current student, however, I've been doing similar research. The dean, John Attanasio, provided this pdf on a WSJ Blog (it provides salaries and employment percentages).

The blog discusses this new program that SMU developed for 2Ls/3Ls, Test Drive. It's pretty interesting. I found it from abovethelaw.com.

I hope others can share other resources...

Thanks for the resources. I wish it stated the percentage of graduates that reported their info. I feel like it is a little shady that the school doesn't list the statistics on the website post 2006.handsum wrote:I'm not a current student, however, I've been doing similar research. What are you looking for, exactly? Employment data as far as....?
Law school transparency has up to 2009 or 2010, I believe.

Just wondering if that was really representative. Seems like most schools have more employment info on their websites
