University of Pittsburgh - Schenley Arms apartments
has anyone ever lived/known someone that lived in the Schenley Arms apartments? I know that Mozart has a complicated and unfriendly lease, but is the building okay?

The building is in Oakland, if I recall correctly and isn't too far from the school. My one friend who lived there said it was really drafty... however utilities are included in rent. So, just crank the heat and prosper I suppose.

haha I have electric heat I think... it's covered by my rent. So, I just turn it up and enjoy feeling toasty in the snow. =DOGR3 wrote:Good thing almost all of Pittsburgh is powered by coal.klmnumbers wrote:The building is in Oakland, if I recall correctly and isn't too far from the school. I just graduated from Pitt this year and lived in Pennsylvania Apartments my junior year (also Mozart). I liked it, the place was nice and had some character. The building was old so the water was weird and it could be cold, that building had gas heat that was through a radiator. Mozart was pretty good though, their rental office is nice and nearby. People they sent out to do work were helpful and usually efficient. The building I was in was a lot of med students/ professionals/ etc so it was very quiet, I could not name one person who lived in that building when I did actually.
