Also, I know we just finished, but when will we have all our grades in?

1L? if so, you are too sober to be asking that. You should be drunk on life right now, or even just plain old drunk.lookingin wrote:She's so sweet, I couldn't imagine lower than like a B, B-. I have no idea though. Anyone feel free to correct me.North wrote:So, uh, just how low of a grade will Woolhandler give in a class.

Open your calendar. Go to the current date. Flip down a few pages. Point to any date.lookingin wrote:Also, I know we just finished, but when will we have all our grades in?

sorry yeah, shouldnt have been so aggro about itlookingin wrote:Cool, so nobody really knows if there's a set date. Thanks dudes, I was just wondering.
There is a set deadline, you'll get an email about it probably in early January. Back in the day it was January 31st, but I think they moved it up to January 15th or something for 1Ls recently.lookingin wrote:Cool, so nobody really knows if there's a set date. Thanks dudes, I was just wondering.
No, it doesn't. You can get an A+ which is roughly the same thing, but more than one person can get it.rhododactylos wrote:Does "booking classes" exist at UVA? If so, how do they tell you?
Don't be worried about insurance. It's a pretty straightforward class and I thought the reading was always pretty light. Or else it didn't take long to get through. That class was kind of a break from the heavier classes I took spring of my 1L year.asundialwatch wrote:1L wondering about swapping classes out. Right now I'm signed up to take fed income tax and insurance and I'm worried that will be overwhelming. Any recommendations?

Deep introspection time. Are you normal? Sociable? Can you at least pass at being both of those for 20 minutes, then 4 hours, than around 3 months? If so, you'll be fine. If your interview skills arent hot, you may have a hard time.CanIStop wrote:Help me out older UVA bros.
So far I have two grades back - median pwned. Two more grades to go, and I am anticipating median for those as well.I thought I took TLS advice as far as exam taking, but looks like I flopped so I'm kind of lost.

NYC is definitely not out. Only some firms in NYC areCanIStop wrote:I'll probably work a lot with KD to perfect my interview skills. He's told me that he thinks with my personality/resume/he alluded to race as well, that I should be okay around median.
So you don't think NYC is out? That was my biggest concern.
URM at median? Dude you'll be fine. And you only have 2 grades in. You have 6 to go before OCI. Calm down. There are tons of plain and boring non-URMs who get fine Biglaw jobs below median.CanIStop wrote:I'll probably work a lot with KD to perfect my interview skills. It used to be that if the course review were available, that meant the grade was up (or coming shortly). Not sure if still trueLegen..waitforit wrote:Is there a running list of classes that have grades out/submitted (think there was something similar last semester)?
Partly true. Any course that has an evaluation up right now in LawWeb has grades up in SIS. However, not all courses which have grades up in SIS have evaluations up.5ky wrote:It used to be that if the course review were available, that meant the grade was up (or coming shortly).
