No idea on the curve, but just a heads up if you didn't notice, that class is in Evanston. I nearly didn't see that.
Yeah, I saw. Thanks! I think there's a NU shuttle that goes between the Chicago and Evanston campuses. I think it's about half an hour and I think it goes past 9 p.m.
I have a friend who was in Kellogg. He said his classes were a coin flip between an A and A-. He did very little work from what I can tell.

Also the intercampus shuttle is definitely longer than half an hour. Closer to 45 minutes.

Also, what slots come up during same day sign ups? If a firm is full after the open sign up period two days before the interview, there shouldn't be any spots day of as it's too late to cancel at that point, right? Unless people are canceling the day before or something, repercussions be damned.
If our unofficial transcript weren't so ugly and hard to read, I would say to roll with it, but it really does suck.

Easy Grader?
I took a seminar with her last year. DEFINITELY graded super easy on that one. She's also very very very accessible - super friendly, open to talking to you outside of class and helping you figure stuff out. I think she's a professor who really cares about whether or not her students are 1) learning and 2) enjoying the class.

I assume you want to take Patent Law w/her, and I haven't taken that class with her before, but I really liked the class I took with her. She's not obnoxious about forcing participation (even though it was a seminar class) and she's pretty good at explaining patent law concepts. Not sure how she'll grade in a non-seminar class though.

Thanks for the info!
Also, I'm going for the Lit track but can't take ITA trilogy this year cuz course conflicts and planning to take 3L year. Any idea on some good courses for Lit? preferably not a harsh grader... haha

Other than ITA trilogy I don't think there are really any classes you need to take for lit, unless you're planning on trying to clerk (though for the most part those aren't the easiest graded classes). Just take what interests you.

Ah, I see. Just seems so corporate heavy with a KSM co-hosted course (TBD), BA (Carole Silver), Patent Law (Laura Pedraza-Farina), and Con (Kitrosser)

on a separate note, should I do Silver or Litvak for BA?

please don't quote, gonna delete soon.

STRATEGY OF LITIGATION. All I did was show up to class and reddit the whole time, got an A+. Seriously HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Salpeter is a fucking chill ass bro and has some great war stories (that's basically what the class is - him telling war stories and giving lit tips).

I feel like this entire thread has been dedicated to answering this question for a few weeks now.

Eta: were you at the transfer orientation thing today? How's the class of transfers looking?

Whoops. I'll go back and read haha. Transfer class looks solid. Everyone's really friendly. Kinda exhausting to sit in a humid hot room all day though..

Better to take corporations over BA or the other way around?
Do they both work as a prereq requirement for entrepreneurship law?
How do I check these prereqs?

Thanks!

So, who is going to be a hero and drop bankruptcy?

Also, am I right that it's likely M&A will be available in the spring uncurved? Anyone have thoughts on taking it curved with Lutz in the fall vs waiting until the spring?

Kellogg recommends that professors follow a curve but doesn't require it for non "core" classes (finance, accounting, marketing). The curve is approx. 40% A, 50% B, 10% C (I think). Some profs throw the curve out entirely while others adhere to it pretty closely.

It is possible for a Kellogg prof to do +/- grading but they don't do it regularly. I think they sometimes do it to cut law students a break since they know grades matter more at the LS.

Considering taking accounting for decision making with Magee, anyone have experience with this class? It's capped at 25 people, so I'm assuming it will be uncurved?
