No idea how popular the strategy class is, but you'll get historical data on how many bid points it's taken to get the class in the past and you can adjust your points accordingly.

whats the process for picking up extra interviews if people decline their screeners?

ETA: specifically just where are open sign-ups? the careerspace info just simply says open sign ups begin at 12:00pm 3 days prior to interviews, but is this done online on symplicity or what?

Symplicity. Just be the first person at noon 3 days prior, not have conflicting screeners, and not have already picked up 2 others that day through open sign ups.

You can also get same day screeners by showing up at 7 am, and being the first to hand in a slip of paper with the sign up into on it to CSO.

I would also suggest trying resume drops with interviewers at the end of the day. I got an offer out of doing one. You can do it during their breaks too but they might hate you for doing that.
