One of our no offers at Winston was a U of C kid who was one of the funniest and chillest bros in the entire class. He worked hard, but he was the opposite of douchey striver. I hope that guy landed on his feet.homestyle28 wrote:you've met those aspie UChi kids right?Desert Fox wrote:IIRC, it was leaked Winston was doing shitty. But I wouldn't believe leaks about who they no offer, until the firm actually makes choices. I doubt they've chosen offers by now? Or maybe they have.

I kind of miss Cliff emails. Though that just reminded me that I'm terrified of sunflowers.

We need some 1L on the forum to forward you his e-mails. I would happily do it but just graduated. Volunteers? Or maybe we can have an appreciation thread for the emails.Holly Golightly wrote:I kind of miss Cliff emails. Though that just reminded me that I'm terrified of sunflowers.

Got a Cliff e-mail this morning. Was expecting flowery (pun intended) prose, but was just journal results.
BTW, Section 1 über alles in re: LR representation.

Makes up for our paltry representation in the Judicial Practicum (2/26). Congrats errbody.bananasplit19 wrote:Got a Cliff e-mail this morning. Was expecting flowery (pun intended) prose, but was just journal results.

Cray-cray. That just means those 9 need to do the work of 2-3 people each.Dr. Filth wrote:One journal has 9 people. Jesus.

Of course it had to be the human rights journal that has to do more work for...still no pay.Micdiddy wrote:Cray-cray. That just means those 9 need to do the work of 2-3 people each.Dr. Filth wrote:One journal has 9 people. Jesus.

Nah. JIHR doesn't publish that much stuff. If you look at their last 3 issues have 10 articles total, which is about the same as 1 issue of LR.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be hands down the least amount of work for a journal.

Section 2 is not very strongly represented. I counted 6 at my first read through.Micdiddy wrote:Makes up for our paltry representation in the Judicial Practicum (2/26). And yea, surprise at our bad representation from the practicum, but I guess that a lot of those kids could do something better 1L summer.

Does anyone have a Pfander Fed. Jur or McGinnis Antitrust syllabus laying around? Just want to get an idea of the workload beyond the CTECs.

Kitrosser is great.lhanvt13 wrote:How is professor Kitrosser? Anybody know/had her?
McGinnis is not a lot of work if you understand economics already or understand it through his class. He doesn't really care about the reading, which is often less than 10 pages per night.

I have a great McG antitrust outline and lots of thoughts on the class. (I'm the CTEC who recommended he change the class name to "why corporations are awesome and how to make them more efficient.")

Can confirm this outline is great. I have a OneNote version of it (pretty much verbatim copied and pasted) as well if people prefer that to Word.Holly Golightly wrote:I have a great McG antitrust outline and lots of thoughts on the class. I have a Pfander FedJur outline somewhere...it was somewhat hastily constructed so keep that in mind. If you had pfander for civpro FedJur isn't that much work b/c there's a lot of overlap between the two courses. Also Pfander wrote a good FedJur condensed outline.onionz wrote:Does anyone have a Pfander Fed. Jur or McGinnis Antitrust syllabus laying around? sweet thanks for the info. Yeah, the transfers were just recently assigned to Kitrosser's con law class. section 10, if that means anything. I guess it's nice to have a class where I don't have to use bids to get.VulcanVulcanVulcan wrote:Kitrosser is great.lhanvt13 wrote:How is professor Kitrosser? Anybody know/had her?

On the topic of bidding for classes, how much does the Strategy co-hosted class usually go for?
Also, are there any firms that are known to favor NU students in NYC?

Anybody had Professor Silver for Business Associations? She's got some pretty rough-ish CTECs, saying that she doesn't really have her shit together. But taking that section is the only way to keep myself from having Friday classes (for OCI/CB purposes).
Thoughts?

I asked the same question to a few friends who took Silver in the Spring and they said take Litvak if you can.

I was planning on taking Silver for the same reason but would be interested in hearing other's input. Last semester was her first one teaching BA at this school in a few years so I feel like that may have been a contributing factor.mirroroferised7 wrote:Anybody had Professor Silver for Business Associations?
