Okay, I've come around completely. The best part about these e-mails aren't the e-mails themselves. It's the people complaining about them. God, I love Fridays.

Were you the person who said you couldn't wait for the public execution over selling Pitchfork tickets? It's Friday. During the summer. And it's tagged [SPAM]. Yeah guys, let's totally click the [SPAM] email that mentions sugar gliders in it fifteen times, cry about the four seconds that it took up, and really reinforce how normal and well adjusted law students are. Seriously. The emails are annoying? Ignore them. It's not like people are knocking on your office door asking you to desperately write a memo on the benefits of gliding squirrels and marsupials and then skipping away.
Idk what email you're referencing, but I doubt I wrote it because I don't usually respond to the chains.

Person A: (does something mildly annoying and not redeemable by being funny or interesting)
Person B: (responds with proportional mild annoyance)
Person A: (completely flips the fuck out about how mean and maladjusted and irrational Person B is being and does the mildly annoying thing several dozen more times, elevating the cumulative annoyance level from mild to significant. Is still not funny or interesting)

Fair point, that was poor word choice. It was probably REDEEMABLE. It was certainly not REDEEMED.

And omg, there is another email in the same thread as before, you know, the one I didn't like, and NOW I HAVE TO CHECK IT TOO. I am inconvenienced and am going to tell them about it.
Eh the annoyance isn't getting the email in the email account, especially with google format, it's the phone notifications (the first five fourteen were not spam tagged).

Pretty sure it's been the same few people a couple of times and I'm assuming it's a bunch of inside jokes because I don't get the humor at all, so I wonder what's with sending them to the listserv instead of each other?

It's a little narcissistic to send an email you know only one or two people will appreciate to the entire listserv instead of that select group.

And when I'm accusing people of narcissism, know there's an issue.

On a side note when do they take my email account away?

I am not the type of person to judge someone for not [spam] tagging, especially if the emails are funny or controversial. But these emails were not even funny. They were really f*cking stupid.

Jesus, I just realized that my phone was filtering out the spam-tagged emails without my knowing it. Got on my tablet to discover people were being even more obnoxious than I'd realized.

The emails were so bad that I did not even bother to read them. There is nothing that I enjoy more than procrastinating by reading emails, so it is a pretty low bar to make me happy via an email, but these emails were not doing it for me.

I agree with this sentiment. Idgaf about SPAM tags and think it's hilarious when people get upset about the tags not being used. But, I just think it's stupid to send an email that says LEBRON 10x to the listserv at all. It doesn't bother me, I just don't understand why you want to do it. Everyone who gives a fuck about LeBron already knows about it, and everybody who gives a fuck about you is on your Facebook or something. So basically by sending that email to the listserv, you are just sending an (unfunny) email to a bunch of people who don't care about its content and don't care about you.
