Varies on the professor, but as I (fuzzily) recall ~ 10% A, 15% A-, 25% B+, and the remainder is B and below.

Failing is very hard. I literally learned everything I needed for a take home exam while I was taking the exam and still shat out a B

It a little better than that. All of my 2L doctrinals were roughly 30-35% A/A-, with 25%-35% B+ and usually only 5-10% B- or below. The individual A and A- ranges have been all over the place though.

It's a safe bet to expect somewhere around 33% A/A-, and 30% B+'s, with a max of about 10% B- or below.

No idea about failing. Stevenson gave someone a D in my Sec Reg class last semester, and it looks like Tague gives one D pretty regularly in his classes.

Best I can tell, anything labeled a "lecture" on your schedule has to adhere to something that roughly resembles the 1L curve, though there seems to be a bit more flex to be ever so slightly better than that. Anything labeled a "seminar" has the potential to have a wonderful curve, often like 35% A's, 35% A-'s, 30% B+'s, though there's no guarantee and it does vary by prof. That said, most of my 2L classes have had a few C's, D's, and even a lone F or two. If you truly and colossally fuck up, profs can still punish you if they feel like it. I realized 2L wasn't gonna be quite as chill as I hoped when I took a week one P/F course and two people actually failed.

I just got the reading assignment email for Week 1. Don't tell me I'm going to have to actually engage with law school. :(

what's the earliest it's worth starting to check myaccess for this semester's grades in non-1L-classes?

Different prof for PR, but feel the EXACT same way.

Are there any decent PR profs at GULC?
I like Frisch a lot.

"Most" of your classes? Damn. I only saw that once as a 2L. The rest were pretty standard, with the lowest grade being a B-.

Right before you have to finalize classes for Spring 3L semester (in the off chance that you failed something and need to boost up dem credits).

But given that there's like a <1% chance of that, maybe right before graduation if you don't want to be surprised about Latin honors

It's possible, but doubtful, for some to be up as soon as this week (e.g., if you had Butler for crim, don't be surprised if he has them up by Friday, assuming no deferrals), but otherwise I think the registrar closes next Wednesday through the new year, so you won't get anything during that time.

Yeah I would check around 6 pm the last day the registrar is open before break. Every semester excluding 1L fall, I had at least 1 grade before break. Last fall I had 3. It's really professor dependent.

Chill, dude. It's one credit.
If they ever wrote a book about my life it would be titled "He Had No Chill; A Story of a Man who took the Easy Way Out by Going to Law School"

I'm still not even seeing Fall 2016 grades as an option on the final grades page
FYI, when it shows up, that's when you know a grade is back.

Also, pro tip, it's much faster to click "Registration" and then "Academic History with Grades" to get to an empty page with no fulfillment as quickly as possible.

I just realized I don't even know where to go to find final grades - I'm assuming MyAccess > Student Records?

Also should I assume that 1L grades will not be posted til the deadline on 1/13?

(1) correct
(2) they won't come out for several days until after the deadline--there's a couple days grace period for faculty, then a couple of days for the registrar. the registrar sends out an email to y'all the day that 1L grades come out
