Unless you're paid to exercise. I used to referee club soccer matches... beats running around a track.

Funny, I do that too (the running around the track part). Guess I'm doing it all wrong :-p

Did you guys ref during 1L? Not to be specific but my job is sports related as well and I could work total 2 hours a week on Saturday mornings. I want to stay active in the sport, but am unsure if this would affect anything as the other posters have taken a negative light.

I agree with everything that above posters said about not working, but you will be absolutely fine working 2 hours a week on a Saturday morning unless you are asking from like a "rule" stand point whether you would be allowed to via the school (should be fine I think it is like 15 hour cap as noted above).

Oh, if it's just 2 hrs a week on Saturdays, fucking go for it.

I don't remember the precise library room numbers, but there were 4. The second floor bathroom in the east wing (I forget what that hall was) The bathroom of Parillo Courtroom. I think that is it.

Yes exactly. After boo left their tape insurance rates went down so they could take the locks off.

Library study rooms are dangerous because people can walk in on you. I've heard.

I don't see the portrait you are talking about, but not too smart of a gunner if they only pop up under the images search 8)

No, he's an academic. Self-promotion is part of the job.

Did any of you do the senior research program? They talked it up a lot at ASW, and I believe said 1/3 of students participate.

Since its done third year it doesn't seem like it would matter much for getting a job, but it might be a more interesting way to pass the time than taking classes.

I did. I think the experience probably varies based on what professor you do it with but I found it a rather low stress (with minimal time demand compared to class) four credits. Expectations actually seemed surprisingly low.

FWIW, this person was in my section 1L year and is a super nice, incredibly smart, not gunnery person at all.

Cool.

I deleted my post because I don't want anyone getting unfairly characterized online.
