Re: Harvard Student(s) Answering Your Questions
It didn't say when grades will be posted. It also didn't say that grades are being delayed. It just said that a previous email was incorrect, and that the registrar will be handling all communication about grades and latin honors.
The previous email had just said that the faculty will vote on our degrees this week, and by the end of the week, we'll get an email from the registrar with the "graduation list." The fact that the registrar will handle communication about grades, doesn't actually contradict the email being corrected.
So, yeah, I dunno.

Dean of Students, first email wrote:We’re getting close! The faculty votes on your degrees this week. By the end of the week, be on the lookout for emails from the Registrar’s Office with the graduation list.
Dean of Students, second email wrote:CORRECTION: The first paragraph of the Commencement Email#6 we sent to you on Monday evening had incorrect information. Please note that the Registrar’s office will be handling all communications on matters concerning grades and honors. Please disregard the first paragraph of said email and accept our sincerest apologies.

Due to the mumps the faculty was not able to achieve a quorum. Therefore there will be no degrees this year. Attached find the information on LIPP that you will need.

It's super easy to get old exams and answers (and outlines). Many student orgs have banks, and ppl also use hlsdope, which is a website run by tlser TripTrip. As a 1l you shouldn't have issues except with visiting profs.Topszn wrote:whats the exam bank situation like at Harvard? how easy/hard is it to get hold of some (lots of?) past papers to do practice exams?

Re: Harvard Student(s) Answering Your Questions
It sure does seem to me as though 3L grades have to be finalized before graduation, because it is always possible that some students will not graduate. (Although this is rare, I did have one friend — who had a highly unusual situation — who did not graduate on time, so it does happen.) So they're cutting it pretty darn close at this point. Even with a grade release today, this will be the latest spring upper-level grade release that I'm aware of, and my information goes back at least to 2011-12.nothingtosee wrote:Hoy?
You can get nearly all prior exam questions from the Registrar. Exam answers are a little harder to come by, but HLS Dope has some, and student organizations that you can join also have some. (EDIT: As foxes said.)Topszn wrote:whats the exam bank situation like at Harvard? how easy/hard is it to get hold of some (lots of?) past papers to do practice exams?

In the interests of . . . healthy paranoia, do you know if the registrar notified your friend of that possibility before grades were generally released?tomwatts wrote:It sure does seem to me as though 3L grades have to be finalized before graduation, because it is always possible that some students will not graduate. All the profs do have grades in. They just don't necessarily have 2L or 1L grades in.nothingtosee wrote:1. How can they have this list before all teachers have grades in?polareagle wrote:Grades / latin honors are up.
